The author

Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving women.

The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

He has published more than 40 books altogether, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

A Dual Career

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
