Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News
Paramount Skydance will start large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 US jobs as part of a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
The workforce reduction follow the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August worth $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are likely, as the firm planning to disclose complete information during its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.
Earlier reports had indicated that Paramount aimed to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.
By December 2024, the organization employed nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 project-based staff.
Paramount Skydance has not yet commented regarding the report.
