The Simpsons Makes Its Debut in Rocket League: But It's Not the Vehicle Fans Are Dreaming Of
We already knew that The Simpsons was teaming up with Fortnite, but this isn't the sole place where fans can immerse themselves in the universe of Springfield. The long-running series is coming over to Rocket League, bringing along an in-game car skin that will also be compatible in Fortnite. That said, whether players will actually want to use it is another question, as fans have their hearts set on just one Springfield vehicle everyone is itching to drive, and this isn't it.
What Fans Really Want
While many players would undoubtedly love to compete behind the wheel of The Homer—the notoriously impractical automobile the patriarch designed personally in the classic episode "the one where he meets Herb"—regrettably, that isn't what players are receiving. Not even receiving the massive SUV, the heavy-duty vehicle showcased in the tenth season. Rather, players will obtain the Simpsons' standard beat-up sedan, which they've been driving since 1989. Though this specific vehicle has accumulated plenty of miles, it remains an recognizable element of the series. For those who pay attention to the game's car hitboxes, the trusty sedan uses the identical collision model as the Dominus.

If the key art is any indication, it seems players will also receive wheels with a TV showing The Simpsons' title sequence, Kang and Kodos topper, a frosted doughnut trail, and boost effects themed to smoldering rubber and Krusty Burger.
